BUCKNER, Carl Alexander Of Parksville passed away on February 3, 2004 in Nanaimo, B.C. at the age of 79. Born November 18, 1924 in Ladysmith, B.C. he was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy. Carl will be dearly missed by his children Bonnie Buckner of White Rock, Cheryl (John) Lum of Richmond and Bob (Rubyann) Buckner of Vancouver. He will be remembered with love by his six grandchildren; Milen, Joel, Charlene, Chad, Allison and Lauren and by his only great-grandchild, Danica. He is survived by his two sisters, Margaret Brown of Port Hardy and Ruth McAlpine of Duncan. The family wishes to thank all the friends and family for their help and compassion during Carl's illness. A special thanks also to the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village who provided excellent support and comfort during Carl's final days. At Carl's request there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held for Carl and his wife Dorothy on April 10, 2004 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Bayside Oceanfront Inn in Parksville (240 Dogwood Street)
