BORGNINO, Carl Joseph
Died at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii as a result of injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident on July 7th, 2002. Carl was born in San Francisco, California on June 23, 1947. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Barbara; his daughter Arwen (Perino) Zambon of Nanaimo, BC; son Arlo (Kumiko), recently of Honolulu; and grandson Kai; and also by his mother Elisabeth; brother Frank and sister Cassie. Carl attended Oregon State University and served in the US Air Force. He was a fisherman for 20 years. He lived in Parksville and worked on Vancouver Island, British Columbia for many years. Recently retired, Carl adored his wife Barb, and being grandpa to Kai. He loved his friends, cooking fine foods, swimming with the fish, growing orchids and giving flowers as well as riding his Harley Davidson.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Waikiki Elks Club, Local #616 on Sunday, July 14th at 2 pm Aloha Attire. Everyone who knew him is welcome to attend.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society - Breast Cancer Research. A private Scatter ceremony will be at a later date. A memorial ride will be held on Sunday, July 21st.
