Carolyn Mary (Talli) Fraser of Qualicum Beach, BC, born in 1942, Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on December 21, 2002 in Nanaimo, BC. Talli is forever remembered with great love by her sons, Andrew (Squamish, BC) and James (New York), by her mother, Mary Tatum (Parksville, BC); by her sister, Susan Leatherman (Canmore, AB), and her brother Peter Tatum (Campbell River, BC); by her grandchildren Ryan and Kaila (Squamish, BC), and by her furry canine companion, Clancy. Talli was predeceased by her father, Alan.
Talli lived in Vancouver, Hong Kong and Qualicum Beach. She was a creative and energetic spirit who loved her Canadian Pacific flying days, was passionate about her garden, intrigued by a new recipe, and vigorously embraced new ideas. She was also actively involved in Families for Children providing support for orphan Asian children for many years. Most of all though, she had immense love for her family and her home. She was a bright star whom we will all miss enormously.
Our family would like to extend sincere gratitude and thanks to the outstanding doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Thank you so much for your care and concern.
A memorial service to celebrate Talli’s life will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 138 West Hoy Lake Road in Qualicum Beach, BC on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, and in Talli’s memory, donations to the Intensive Care Unit, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, 1200 Dufferin Crescent, Nanaimo, BC V9S 2B7 would be appreciated.
