Passed away peacefully December 30, 2005 at Arrowsmith Lodge

Predeceased by his first wife Joy and his daughter Carolyn.

Chuck will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Gertrude, children in Ontario, Penny & Terry Neill &Judy, Merle & John, Fai & Frank Charmaine & Lee. In BC, Elaine & John, Laura & Marc, Stephen & Joanne in Alberta, Trevor & Sibylle, Switzerland. A proud grandfather of 36 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Also 1 brother and 3 sister in Ontario, plus nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends as well as a wonderful church family.

Chuck’s occupation was mechanical maintenance. He worked for Beaver Engineering, Ontario, then Woodgrove Centre, Nanaimo, until 1995. He had a great passion for sports and played professional hockey in his youth overseas. In later years he enjoyed Golf, Badminton & tennis, the latter being his passion which he played until age 83 and was reluctant to give up. We wish to thank Dr. Bruce Johnstone who so lovingly cared for Chuck for many years. To Dr. R.J. Hancock & Dr. Parker, a special “Thanks” to Arrowsmith Lodge for outstanding care, love and kindness.

A memorial service was held on Jan. 5/06 at St. Columba Presbyterian Church, Parksville, B.C. The Rev. Robert Kerr officiating.

Donations may be made to the Parkinsons research in Chuck’s memory.
