We sadly announce that Barney passed away at home, on the evening of June 20th, with loved ones at his side, after a battle with cancer, fought with dignity and humour. Survived by his wife, Corinne, son Gordon (Cathy) and granddaughters Maggie & Tess, Gibsons, B.C. Stepchildren Cheryl (Ralph), Howard, Clint (Donna). Granddaughters Angie, Robin, Shelby. Great grandchildren Lily and Cameron. Predeceased by his brother Douglas and grandson Ryan.
Barney served in the Merchant Marines, worked on C.N. ships on the coast of B.C., and became an engineer on the “Canora”, was a logger and piledriver, then enjoyed his years on the water as a commercial fisherman, aboard his MV “Adriel”.
