OLSON, Dolores (nee Beauchamp)
1945 - 2005
Dolores peacefully passed away at the Nanaimo General Hospital Palliative Care Unit on June 3, 2005 at the age of 59 after a valiant struggle with cancer. Dolores was predeceased by her mother and father.
She leaves behind her husband Terry of Qualicum Beach, B.C.; her sons, Brady of Winnipeg and Cory of Calgary; her sisters Jean and Nicole of Lasalle, Quebec; her brothers Donald (Phillis) and George (Lori) of Kahnawake, Quebec; her brother John Deer of Kamloops,
B.C.; her aunt Myrtle Gagne of Montreal, Quebec; her aunt Lulu (John) Jacobs of Detroit, Michigan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her many in-laws, friends and acquaintances whose lives she touched over the years as she moved
around the world. Dolores grew up in Kahnawake, Quebec and after marrying Terry in 1971, they began an adventure that took them to live in Vancouver, Regina, Hanover New Hampshire, Johannesburg South Africa, Mijdrecht The Netherlands, Winnipeg, San Diego California,
and finally to Qualicum Beach B.C. on Vancouver Island in 1998. She loved Qualicum Beach and was active in the community. Special thanks to the home care nurses and home care workers from Parksville/Qualicum and to the staff of the Nanaimo Regional General
Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the kind and compassionate care provided to Dolores in her last months.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at the Catholic Church of the Ascension in Parksville B.C. on Friday, June 10 at 11 am
