95 Years of Caring and Giving
Born on the Island in South Wellington, raised in Sydney, Doreen lived most of her life in Victoria and Parksville. She loved nature and fondly remembered, when the kids were young, many happy campouts at Rathtrevor Beach before it became a Provincial campsite.
A loving sister, wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, Doreen gave to her family and community unconditionally. She would just show up to help with her bucket of supplies and her famous butter tarts in hand! Doreen truly enjoyed working for the Canadian Red Cross and volunteering many hours as a Girl Guide Leader.
An accomplished baker, avid gardener, and extraordinary crafter, Doreen brought love and smiles wherever she went. The family thanks members of her Church, her special caregivers and the staff of Stanford Place for their loving friendship, kindness, and prayers.
Services to remember Doreen will be at
St. Anne’s St. Edmund’s Anglican Church, 407 Wembley Rd, March 27, 3:30 pm.
A Life Well-Lived!!
