Doreen May Burgess
passed peacefully on Sunday, November 6th, 2005.
Doreen was born in Vancouver and raised her three loving children, Sandra (Gordon), Michael (Denise) and Glenn (Shelly) in Burnaby for many years. She was an inspiring wife, mother and grandmother and was the youngest of three vibrant sisters. She will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Walter Burgess.
Her greatest passion was her family. She had great pride in her grandchildren, Richelle, Lindsay, Kelsey, Joey and Bradley. Throughout her life, Doreen enjoyed a very special relationship with her sisters, Lil and Molly and their families. She spent many joyful years playing cards with friends, travelling in her motorhome, clogging in Qualicum and following her favourite hockey teams.
Doreen's battle with Cancer was met with courage and dignity. Her strength, beauty and tenacity were inspirational throughout her struggle. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
