On Thursday, October 8th, 2009 Dorothy Fillion (nee Gaddes), beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 73 years.
Dorothy will be forever remembered by her children Medric (Charlene), Melaine (Geoffrey), Shelly (Dave) and Rita (Norman) and long time friend Norm McLean. By her grandchildren Ryan (Lori), Trina (Richard), Marric, Kiera, Dylan, Larissa, Amber and great-grandson Robin. By extended family, friends and long time companion Max.
She is reunited with her parents Mary Bowen and George Gaddes, son Robin Fillion and sister Mavis Evans.
Born August 14, 1936 in Goldfields, Saskatchewan and a long time resident of Prince Rupert, BC, Dorothy will be fondly remembered by all for her love of family, antiques, nature and dancing. The joy she brought in to so many lives will be deeply cherished evermore.
A funeral celebration of life was held at Arrowsmith Lodge on Wednesday, October 14th at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
