STOLAR, Douglas Born November 17, 1954 in Love, Saskatchewan Died in Parksville, BC on June 01, 2002 at his home. Douglas was a teacher in District 69 for over 20 years. Deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend Heather of 22 years; by his three teenaged children, Slade, Kelsey and Logan. Also survived by his parents Nick and Margaret Stolar of Battleford, Saskatchewan; brothers, Edward of Battleford, Richard (Joan) of Stoney Mountain, Manitoba, Harold (Patti) of Williams Lake, BC; sisters, Leanne Heckenberg of Cairns, Australia, Lorette Stolar (Doug) of Vanscoy, Saskatchewan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation and viewing will be held Saturday, June 8, 2002 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Parksville Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville, BC. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2002 at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre at 2:00 pm In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stolar Memorial Fund, c/o School District #69, Box 430, 1000 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, BC V9P 2G5.
