On September 19, 2010, Dr. Linda Carol Loewen (nee Bray) of Vancouver Island BC., passed away at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her loving husband retired Constable John William Campbell, one daughter Dr. Michele Christine Loewen (Imbaw Storer) of Saskatoon SK., one son Dr. Matthew Eric Loewen of Vancouver BC., and two grandchildren Thomas and Nathaniel Storer. She also leaves her niece Lynne Davies (Mansel) and her nephew Doug Cox (Karen), their father Gerry Cox and their children Benjamin, Mariel, Alison Cox and Morgan Davies. Linda was predeceased by her sister Marguerite Christine Cox and her parents George and Freda Bray. A private interment service will be held in Wolseley, SK at a later date. Linda made many dear friends throughout her life in Parksville, Tofino, Ucluelet, Port Alberni, Kelowna, Winnipeg and Edmonton, all of whom have been wonderfully supportive during her illness. Her family wishes to express special gratitude to her local physician Dr. Robert Waite and Dr. Elaine Anderson of the BC Cancer Institute for their help in her time of need. Linda will forever be remembered as a devoted loving mother, a proud grandmother, an absolutely wonderful wife and a caring physician, the epitome of a doctor’s Hippocratic Oath. She gave so much and never expected to receive. In lieu of flowers, Linda has requested that donations be made to the Schizophrenia Society of Canada in support of her work in mental health (www.schizophrenia.ca).
