Betty grew up in Winnipeg with her brother and sisters. She and Donald married on Valentines Day in 1959. They were married for 32 years. The birth of their daughter and son brought great joy to our extended family.

Home was a gathering place for friends and family alike. She had a great sense of humor and a love of music. She was a great spectator sports fan who enjoyed watching tennis, curling, football and the Toronto Blue Jays. She had a special talent for cooking, her specialty being butter tarts. Being a caring and compassionate person her love for her children and family and friends were endless.

In later years she worked at Zellers, Grant Park Mall in Winnipeg and had many friends, and enjoyed working with her co-workers.

After the death of her husband she moved to Winnipeg Beach, where they had spent their summers. A few years later she moved to Parksville, B.C. to make a new home and to be closer to her brother and his family. She spent the last few years at Malasapina Gardens in Nanaimo, B.C.

Our mom was a special person and our family will miss her dearly.

Our family would like to thank the staff of Malasapina Gardens for the care, compassion and support given to her during her illness.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 3rd at 1:30pm.
