PERCY, Elmer St. Clair

Passed away peacefully at Trillium Lodge in Parksville, B.C., with his wife Elaine and son Rick at his side, on February 27, 2004.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Elaine, Son Rick (Wendy) of Duncan BC, Daughters Gail (Keith) Konrad of Grande Prairie, Alberta; Laurie (Dan) McGillvary of Nanaimo, BC; Colleen (Kelvin) Smith of Grande Prairie, Alberta and Holly (Glen) Ridout of Victoria, BC. Grandchildren Jason (Jody), Jaime (Garry); Shane, Chad and Laura; Bret and Mathew; Ryan, Lindsey (Kurt) and Tyrell; Connor and Emily. Great Granddaughter Morgan. Elmer was born on the family farm in Fairlight, Saskatchewan on April 18, 1928. He was the youngest of nine children. Elmer married Elaine (Mills) in 1949. They moved throughout Saskatchewan with his work in the propane industry. They settled in Victoria in 1968 where Elmer managed Cigas Propane. After 37 years in this industry he retired. Elmer and Elaine moved to Parksville in 1995. He loved golfing, fishing, playing his guitar and watching ball games. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Many thanks to the staff of Trillium Lodge for taking such wonderful care of this special man. To all Elmer and Elaine's friends, the family would like to say thank you for the extra love and support for the past five years. Words cannot express how much we appreciate you. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday March 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Parksville Funeral Chapel at 1000 Allsbrook, Parksville BC In lieu of flowers, donations to the Therapeutic Gardens at Trillium Lodge, 401 Moilliet Road, Parksville BC or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
