Eric will be sadly missed by his family and friends, he will never be forgotten and will always be close to our hearts. Eric is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Lorraine, son Brad, daughter Anna, granddaughter Erica, grandson Eric, Sister Thelma (Bob) Schofield, sister in law Diane Uyttersprout, brother in laws Rick and Brian Smillie, nieces Roxanne and Trisha and nephews Doug, Ted, Glen, Norman and Colin. In his spare time Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, gardening and golf. He will best be remembered for his love of family and friends and his quiet way of making everyone comfortable in his presence.
Eric's family wishes to thank Dr. John Atherstone and the staff at Trillium Lodge in Parksville and the Gardens in Qualicum Beach for the excellent care and compassion shown during the last five months.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 12, 2007 at 1:00pm in the hall behind the St. Stephen's United Church at 150 Village Way in Qualicum.
