With great sadness we announce that Ernie Staite, 92 years of age, passed away on the 21st of February 2010, at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital after a courageous fight with pneumonia. By his side were his wife and granddaughter.

Ernie had some great adventures over the years including being a part of WWII. He lived most of his life in Kamloops working at Lafarge. He later retired and loved spending his time travelling, golfing, fishing and camping with Anne, Gerry, Tom and his 6 grandchildren. In his retired years Ernie and Anne moved to Parksville, BC to be closer to their family.

Ernie, Dad, Grandpa, Papa Ernie, “you will be forever missed, but have blessed us and everyone you ever met with your memory. You were a caring husband an intelligent father, a kind and gentle grandfather and a “great” papa Ernie with “great” hugs!”
