Faye Annie McArthur

August 17, 2002

McARTHUR, Faye Annie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Faye on August 17, 2002 at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 67 years.

Faye was born on January 1, 1935 at Loon Lake, SK, the eldest child of Jim and Bertha Duprey. She grew up on the family farm 4 miles north of Makwa, SK. As a young adult, she moved to Dryden, Ontario where she met and married her soulmate Don McArthur. They were happily married for 33 years. Faye nursed for 31 years in Dryden and made many life-long friends there. Faye took great joy in all of her family - her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her one special aunt. Faye spent her last years travelling with Don and they made their home in Parksville where she made a very special little friend in Jennifer Sallows who was like the granddaughter that Faye never had. Faye loved to spend her time boating, camping, knitting and growing beautiful roses. She will be greatly missed by all of us. Faye is survived by her loving husband Don; brothers Arnold (Shelby) Duprey of Makwa, SK, Ed (Dorothy) Duprey of Makwa, SK; sisters Lois (Bill) Hoey of Dryden, ON, Ada (Leonard) Reid of Ft. McMurray, AB, Colleen (Bev) Hunt of Simpson, SK and Lynda (Greg) McNaMee of Edmonton, AB; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at 2:30 pm at the Parksville

Funeral Chapel, Rev. Foster Freed officiating.
