Florence Mulder of Parksville, BC, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side, October 24, 2010 at Arrowsmith Lodge.

Born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, June 17, 1918, she was the second of nine children born to John and Ceclia Rebman. Florence spent her life raising her children and watching her family grow. With a love for cooking and baking, when family and friends came to visit, there was always a pot of coffee on and they never went away hungry.

Pre-deceased by her husband John Mulder in 1988, her eldest son Gary Keast in 2005 and her youngest son Davie Mulder in 1964.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Karen Bakken, Parksville, BC, Lynn LeBlanc, Clinton, BC, daughter -in-law, Sally Keast, Parksville, BC, and her sons Gene (Pat) Schwarz, Kerrobert, Sk, Glen (Wendy) Schwarz, Parksville, BC, Lance (Carmen) Schwarz, Kelowna, BC her step-children, Violet (Harold) Johnsgaard, Calgary, AB, Vivian (Gerry) Sells, Gull Lake, SK, Chuck (Lila) Schwarz, Vernon, BC, her sister Cora (Dale) Wilms, Gull Lake, Sk. as well as 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Florence’s family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Arrowsmith Lodge in Parksville, BC for their loving care of our precious mom, grandma, great grandma and great great grandma during her last couple or years and for holding her hand even in her final hours.

Grandma will be lovingly remembered for her quick sense of humour, her warm hospitality and her special kisses. She will be greatly missed but always remembered.
