WEBER, Frank Chadwick

Born April 21,1923 in Sedgewick, Alberta, died July 9, 2004, after a short illness. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Betty, Daughters Gill (Bruce), Jane, Richard (Fiona), and Elaine (Grant), and grandsons Ian and Martin. Frank completed his education at Sedgewick High School in 1943 and immediately joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. He completed his training as a navigator with the rank of Pilot Officer, serving in England and the Air Force of Occupation in Germany. While in England he met and, in 1946, married Betty Kathleen Stroud. After demobilization, he joined the Income Tax Department in Edmonton. In 1977, he was awarded the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Medal for “long and dedicated service”. In 1978, he retired to Qualicum Beach. Frank loved his wife, his family, and his dogs, and kept his sense of humor to the end. He will be missed. A private service was held on July 15 at St. Anne’s Anglican church in Parksville. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA.
