April 17, 1925 – September 10, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George E. (Ted) Rogers in the Nanaimo Hospital with his family by his side. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years Illeen, his son Hale (Shirley), daughter Sherry (Ron), 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to niece Danna (Bob) Ellis for all their love and support.
Ted served with the Royal Canadian Regiment during Word War 2 in Holland, and later became a proud member of the Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) in Victoria. He was also a member of the Legion for a number of years and enjoyed raising a glass or two with his comrades.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
