My wife Gina was born in the Philippines on February, 14, 1966, to Francisco and Phosphoradad Babate in Malaybalay, Bukidnon. She died peacefully in her sleep on November, 5, 2007 of cancer. She is survived by her husband Ross McFarlane, daughter, Kathrin Ruth, son James Horace and grand-daughter Alyssa Joy. Small children would go to her instantly, she was a woman that everyone liked from the first meeting. She never let an angry word leave her mouth, she saw the good in everyone and every thing. She always put her family and friends needs before her own. She spoke five languages fluently. She was a very strong women, she fought her cancer with a smile a laugh and a vibrant spirit. The affliction did not stop her from performing all the duties she felt she needed to do. She lost her leg in December 2006; the day she came home from the hospital she was baking banana bread. Right up until the final two weeks she managed to keep our home spotless and the food on the table when needed. The sarcoma tumor quickly spread too many other parts of her body but she rarely complained it took twenty long months for it to finally take her life. Please, if you knew her come and celebrate her life on November 17, 2007 from 1:00 to 3:00 at our home 3346 West Island Hwy, Qualicum Beach she would like that. Gina, our love will never die.
