Gladys A. (nee Brown) Boorman

Boorman, Gladys A. (nee Brown) passed away peacefully at the age of 74 with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at the Nanaimo Hospital. Gladys loved to keep busy. As well as being a dedicated home maker, she was a wonderful baker and seamstress. Gladys was very active in Centennial United Church. She loved working with children, whether working at playground programs or the church creche or being involved with a reading program for special needs children. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John (Jack) Boorman, son Lawrence Boorman, daughter Debbie (Terry) Longland. She will also be sadly missed by her granchildren, Jesse, Amber, Katie, Valerie, and great grandson Willow, as well as her brothers Roy, David (Anne), and Arthur Brown and her sisters Connie (Bas) Pascoe, Doris (Charlie) Turner, Betty (Ornal) Jorgenson, Predeceased by her sister Ruby and brother Maurice, also Vi Brown, Irene Brown and Mary Brown.


"Mom, we only hope that we can face life's obstacles as well as you did, with the same strength and without complaint even when faced with life's final challenge you were amazing, mom."

A memorial service will be held at Centennial United Church, Victoria, BC. on Friday, Apirl 5, 2002 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society. First Memorial Services, Nanaimo, BC
