Grace FRANCIS (Scott) (Brown)

November 8, 2010

BROWN

March 11, 1937 - Nov. 8, 2010

Grace Francis Brown died peacefully at home in Qualicum Beach B.C. She was lovingly supported by close friends that carefully followed her wishes for a continued holistic atmosphere filled with positive energy. The family wishes to recognize and thank Gudrun for her support over the past months.

Grace was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Lillian and Alan Scott, and spent her early years there with her brothers Leslie, Walter and Randolph and sisters, Joyce and Jean.  In 1958, she and Donald Brown were married and moved to Don Mills, Ontario, to start a family.  The family lived for a time in Scarborough, Ontario and then moved to the North Toronto area of Toronto, Ontario.  In 1991, Grace visited B.C. and decided to stay, recognizing the positive energy and strong sense of community that exists in the Qualicum Beach area.

Grace was a long time volunteer for the Canada Save the Children organization, an active member of the Residents’ Associations of the communities where she lived, and a life-long student of subjects ranging from woodworking to architectural design.  She had a strong interest and talent in the arts and she enjoyed the resulting art shows and travels in Europe with her art groups.  After her move to B.C., she became active in energy healing, and helped many people as an Energy Practitioner and through her Holographic Healing Mandalas.

Grace leaves behind husband and friend, Donald of Victoria, David (son) and Tracey Brown of Ottawa, Jeanine Brown (daughter) and Rick Rempel of Victoria, and grandchildren Nicholas and Justin Rempel, and Gordon, Courtney and Sarah Brown. Grace will be lovingly remembered by Gudrun, Anne Rose, Teena, and Ron, as well as many other friends in the community.

It was Grace’s wish to have a Celebration of Life Gathering of friends and family, to share happy memories, music, laughter and smiles.  It will be held at the Qualicum Beach Curling Club, 644 Memorial Ave., Qualicum Beach, on Thursday, November 18 at 1:00 pm.  Condolences may be forwarded to CondolencesQB@shaw.ca.

You girlfriend, have been there for me

Teaching me like it is and sending me

your loving, healing, energy

A little piece of my heart will travel with you.

Until we meet again.
