KEMP, Gwendolyn Wanda (Gwen) nee Hall
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2003 in her 75th year.
Gwen will be greatly missed by her loving husband Don, their children Linda (Jim), Steve (Brenda) and Pam (John - deceased). Gwen is also survived by sisters Meryl (Larry), Joy (Don), brother Wayne (Betty), niece Holly and many nephews.
Gwen’s positive outlook on life and her “Not to Worry” philosophy will always be remembered by her family and many friends. Born in Saskatchewan on August 18, 1927, the family moved to B.C. in 1939. Gwen started her working career at Peter’s Ice Cream where she met Don, her devoted husband of 54 years. She went on to become the first female Branch Manager for the Western Canada Division of the Toronto Dominion Bank. Upon retirement Don and Gwen enjoyed many years aboard their ketch, “Wyndspree”, sailing the coastal waters of B.C., then venturing offshore to Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii.
A special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Trillium Lodge, Parksville, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of B.C. would be appreciated.
