TODD, Ian (Bud)

July 6, 1921 – May 31, 2008

It is with great sadness that the family of Bud Todd announces the passing of their beloved

father, grandfather and great-grandfather on May 31, 2008 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital. Born in Ocean Falls, B.C., Bud was predeceased by his wife, Norma, in 2006. He is survived by his five children, Dorothy-Anne, Julie (Curtis), Susan (Dennis), Michael (Tracey) and Peter (Connie), along with his 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Val Simpson. Bud served with the RCAF in Europe during WWII. His business career included many years with Lafarge Cement, beginning in Richmond, B.C. and concluding in Montreal. A happy retirement followed in Nanoose Bay, B.C. where he was an avid fisherman and fine woodworker, producing many wonderful keepsakes for his family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kerridge and the 5th floor staff at Nanaimo Regional Hospital for their dedication and kind assistance, leading to Bud’s peaceful passing. At his request there will be a private family gathering only. Donations in his memory can be made to Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.
