It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Irven Norris-Jones. Survived by his beloved wife Margaret, daughter Deborah (Dave Southgate), grandchildren, Angela and David, brother Lionel (Monica), sister Marjory (Frank) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Sidney (Joyce).
Irven was born in Edmonton, AB and joined the RCAF where he served as a Navigator in WWII. In 1952 he married Margaret in Regina, SA and returned to Edmonton where they began their family. Irven worked in the Business Machines and Parking Systems divisions as a partner in Time Business Machines until he retired in 1987 to Qualicum Beach, BC.
Irven was an honoured member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #076, a founding member of the Probus Club of Parksville, the Eaglecrest Golf Club and the Advocats.
A Celebration of Life was held on August 16, 2009
at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort in Parksville, BC
