Surrounded by family and close friends, Isabella passed away peacefully in her home in Victoria, .B.C.
Isabella, a lifelong seeker and formidable teacher, profoundly touched the lives of those who knew and loved her. Born in Montreal, she was a longtime resident of Lasqueti Island, a resident of Parksville and most recently, Victoria.
Isabella is survived by her mother Claude Gauvin (New Brunswick), brother Simon Gauvin (Nova Scotia) and daughter Maya Gauvin (Victoria, BC).
Isabella’s inspirational spirit lives on in her beautiful and courageous daughter, Maya. Maya will continue to be guided by family and Isabella’s friends, with an intention that honours her authentic self.
For those who wish to gesture, an education fund has been established for Maya. Contributions can be made to account #3261732 at the Coastal Community Credit Union. Contributions will also be accepted at Parksville Elementary School, 330 Craig Street, care of Mr. Dan Mackenzie (Mailing address: PO Box 400, Parksville, BC V9P 2G5). Cheques must be made payable to: Withanie Lemke and D. Mackenzie in trust for Maya.
A Celebration of Life Dance will take place at the White Eagle Hall in Victoria on Friday,November 24, 2006 at 7:00pm
