Ivor Williams

Left behind are Trish, his wife of almost 49 years, sons Bruce, Bob and Jeff, daughter Kathleen, grandchildren Sahara and Marlena, sister Marg and sister-in-law Irene. 

Born in Toronto Ivor had a varied career. He worked on a farm and for IBM. In England and Wales he worked for the British Railway, an aluminum rolling mill, a munitions factory and for the forestry.

Back in Canada he worked for A.V. Roe. Coming west in 1957 he began a career in the BC Provincial Government first as a clerk in the parliament buildings.

He then worked throughout the province in the government agencies, beginning as a clerk, then Deputy Government Agent, Government Agent and retiring as a Regional Manager of Government Agents.

In retirement Ivor enjoyed travelling and volunteered at the Sub Arctic Mission in Hay River NWT and also with the Salvation Army and YWAM.

A remembrance will be held in Victoria at a later date.
