JAMES DALGLEISH PURDON
February 20, 1921 - January 9, 2010
Jim passed away peacefully at the Gardens in Qualicum Beach. Born in Kitchener Ont. he retired to Qualicum Beach in 1989 with his loving wife Jean, who predeceased him in 1993.
Jim served with the RCAF during the war and spent his working career with Bell Canada.
He was an avid golfer and the ultimate dancer, always the life of the party with jokes and tricks. A charming, magical gentleman who will be missed my many. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation are extended to the staff at The Gardens for their compassionate caring.
Jim will be lovingly missed by his two sons James Robert (Carollyne Haynes) and Cameron Douglas (Cora); grandchildren Emma Purdon, Alex, Toby and Malonie Haynes; great-grandchildren Damian and Sana Haynes.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 1 pm on Sat. Jan. 30, 2010, at St. Mark’s Church
in Qualicum Beach.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to B.C.’s Kidsport for disadvantaged youth at
