WALDIE, James Harold (Jim)
Passed away peacefully in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on April 9th, 2006 surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his wife Maureen in 2000. Jim leaves to mourn his passing, his daughters: Laura of Nanaimo, Heather and her husband Dave Oud of Parksville, sister: Muriel and her husband Stan Reid of Quebec, niece Sara and nephews Ken and Matthew.
Jim was brought up in Athelstan, Quebec on the family farm. He was a hard worker and always displayed a very strong work ethic. Jim was blessed with a deep well of patience, a gentle, quiet and kind man who loved nature and delighted in watching the sunrise. Jim was also an avid collector of John Deer memorabilia.
Jim recently fulfilled his life long dream with a visit to Hawaii accompanied by his daughter, Laura.

A Memorial Service for Jim will be held on Saturday, April 15th, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC with the Reverend: Foster Freed officiating.
Flowers gratefully declined. For those so desiring, donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the palliative Care Unit at the Nanaimo Hospital.
