Passed away peacefully June 13, 2003 at Malaspina Gardens, Nanaimo, B.C.
Beloved wife of Harry (married June 1952); mother of Keith (Barbara), Brian (Sherry), Lindsay (Tim); grandmother of James, Brooke, Matthew, Keiram and Brianna; also Tara and Paige. Jean is also survived by her sister, Nettie Routledge of Carlisle, England.
Jean lived a full life as a teacher, golfer and gardener. She loved to travel but was happiest at home with family and friends. She will be missed by many. Grateful thanks to the nurses and staff of Malaspina Gardens. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, PO Box 26388, BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 4R1 would be appreciated.
A private family funeral service will be held June 19 and a Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held Saturday, June 28, 2:30 p.m. at Fairwinds Schooner Cove Resort in Nanoose Bay, to which all friends are invited.
