Predeceased by his father Joseph in 1970, mother Germaine in 1985, sister Floretta in 1932. John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Merilyn, sons John (Betty), Louis (Stacey), Joe (Cyndi), and grandchildren Simone and Joshua. Also brothers Henri (Shirley) of Keremeos, B.C., Mike (Betty) of

Terrace B.C., sister Pamela (Gordon) Meyer of Prince George, B.C., and many nieces, nephews and good friends. John was born in Princeton, B.C. and raised in Hedley, B.C. Moved to Prince George in 1955 then to Parksville in 1960 to apprentice with his uncle of Ted's Welding where he stayed until he started his own business, J.B. Welding, for 36 years. John was a proud and hard-working man who enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting and having many good times with his family and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and the nursing staff of the 5th floor of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for caring for John through his illness. A Mass was held Wednesday, September 22 at the Church of Ascension, French Creek, B.C.
