Stark, Joe
Passed away April 5, 2008 in Nanaimo Regional Hospital after a brief battle with Mesothelioma.
Joe will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Glenna, son Terrence (Kathleen), daughter Joanne, grandchildren Andrew and Emily, brother John (Shirley), and sister Luisa, many nieces, nephews, and other family, as well as countless dear friends.
Born February 26, 1930 in Vancouver, B.C. After graduating from Vancouver Technical High School in 1948, Joe worked as a shoe repairman and as a commercial fisherman. In 1958, he began a 31-year career with the Municipality of Burnaby, starting as a labourer in the Waterworks and Sewers department, and later, becoming a Works Inspector. In 1989, he retired and moved to Parksville, B.C., where he enjoyed sport fishing and gardening.

A celebration of life will be held on
Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Quality Resort Bayside, 240 Dogwood St., Parksville, B.C.
