John was born in The Netherlands on March 3, 1928 and passed away in Qualicum Beach, BC on April 10, 2010. He is survived by his wife Margie, sons; Bill (Cindy) and Rocky, both of Hilliers, BC and beloved grandchildren; Katelynn, Robbert and Taylor. Also surviving him are his siblings; Anna, Corry, Willeum, Pete, Anton and Dirk. John was predeceased by his previous wives; Nell and Mena and his siblings; Lia, Allie, Cees, Maria, Bertus and Lou.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 @ 1:00 PM at Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Rd Parksville, BC with Pastor Fred Massey officiating.
