BRANSON, John
August 26, 1923 to October 12, 2007.
John passed away at home at the age of 84 from liver cancer. He died peacefully at home, alert and free of pain, with his wife and daughter at his bedside.
In WWII, he trained as a fighter pilot in the RAF, later transferring to the Fleet Air Arm – Sub Lt (A), RNVR – flying the American “Hellcat”.
John led a contented life and was active in Freemasonry and Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed a happy marriage and celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in March of this year. He will be sadly missed by this wife Doreen, only daughter Caroline who he adored, and his son – in – law Alan.
A celebration of his life will be held at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville, B.C. on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 2 p.m.
