Died at home May 27,
a week before his 76th birthday.
Born in Melfort Sask, to Ole and Ebba Johnson, he joined the RCAF in 1952 as an aircraft maintenance engineer. He served with NATO in England, France and Morocco. He then joined Canadian Pacific Airlines for a 25½ year career.
The family moved from Leduc, AB to Falkland, BC where they operated their small ranch and the Petro Canada station until 1990. They moved to Vernon in 1995 and Qualicum Beach in 2002.
With love he is remembered by Maureen, his wife of 41 years, his sons, Murray (Carolyn) Ottawa, Kevin (Leah) Sherwood Park, Jay (Carrie) Ottawa, Trevor (Ray) Vancouver, and daughter Desiree, Edmonton.
There are 9 wonderful grandchildren, brothers Lorne (Fran) Johnson, and Dennis Olsen, and sisters Dianne (Wally) Swintak & Elaine (Garry) Huffman. He was predeceased by his parents and step-father Jorgen Olsen and granddaughter Kaitlyn Reine. Our thanks to Dr. Waite and the nurses and workers of Home Care.
He was a kind and gentle man who saw good in everyone he met. Now may his spirit soar!!
