MASUR, Leslie Joseph

(1924-2005)

We announce with sadness, the passing of Les Masur on July 12, 2005. Born in Melville, Saskatchewan on January 14, 1924 into a family of 15. Les was employed Canadian Pacific Railway

in Revelstoke, Nelson and Vancouver, and retired as Supervisor of Labour Relations of the Western Division in Vancouver in 1983. Les and his wife Mary have resided in Parksville for the last 16 years. He enjoyed cooking and baking and won many awards for his efforts at the fall fairs.

He was also an active member of the Rock and Gem club for a number of years - developing a passion for

“seascape” hobbies.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Mary of 58 years, daughter Jill Zimmer (Larry) and son Jack, grandchildren and great grandchildren whose lives he touched greatly with his loving and generous

spirit, a brother and six sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.

With the excellent care from his wife and family, Les was able to be cared for at home. Special thanks also to Dr. Desai, and the Parksville Home Care and Physiotherapy.

To respect his wishes, there will be no service

Ps. 23: The Lord is my Shepherd.

Love the Family.
