YOUNG, LESLIE James of Parksville, B.C. passed away August 31, 2008 at the age of 80 years. Les was born in Youngstown, Alberta. He is survived by wife Daisy, his love and life partner of 55 years, his children Campbell (Elaine), Celeste Symon (Rod), Dena Flock (Bradley), Christine, Damon (Rosanne); 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and expectations before the end of the year. He was a loving brother to sisters Lois Young, Muriel Oaks (Doug) and brother-in-law to Trudy Stroud (Don), Barry Keck
(Velma) and Henrietta Ready (Al). He was a cherished uncle, cousin and friend. Les was a farmer, a tradesman, and a dedicated educator. He was a man who climbed mountains, canoed
the lakes and rivers, walked in the forests, and listened to the sounds of the sea. He loved to garden and planted the seeds of curiosity and discovery in his children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are welcome at S.O.S. Box 898, Parksville, B.C. V9P 2G9
