Lionel was a resident of Qualicum Beach, BC passed away September 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. He was in his 89th year.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 62 years Marion; also his children - daughter Catherine Jasmins of Richmond Hill, ON, and
grandson Paul; son Norman of Ashburn, ON, and grandson Christopher and granddaughter Elizabeth.
Lionel was a chemical engineer graduate of the University of British Columbia and was with Shell Canada for 34 years. He retired to Qualicum Beach, BC in 1976 (where Lionel and Marion had honeymooned). He was a long time
member of the Rotary Club and former president. Lionel was also an avid golfer, good gardener and was admired for his skilled carpentry work.
In respect of his wishes, there will be no service.
Arrangements through First Memorial Funeral Services, Nanaimo, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lionel’s memory to the Society of Organized Services 245 W. Hirst St. Parksville, BC which was his favorite charity.
