WILSON, Louis Louis passed away peacefully on August 10, 2004 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Jean and sister Mara, Louis is survived by three nephews, Milton, Laurie and Garry Rennie, one niece Heather Smith and their families. Louis was also a beloved uncle to Jean's family, niece Helen Konetzka and nephew Jim Black and their families. He was born on March 7, 1911 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The family was homesteading in Saskatchewan. He resided in New Westminster, Port Alice, Prince George and Nanoose Bay before settling in Parksville. He is a member of the Historical Society and spent many happy hours restoring some of the tractors. He also spent many happy hours with his friends at the former Brenda's Coffee Shop and the Farmhouse Cafe where he was a regular customer. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 16 at 2:00 pm from the Parksville Funeral Chapel. Reverend Foster Freed officiating. A reception will follow in the Arbutus Tea Lounge adjacent to the Parksville Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Knox United Church Cemetery. Donations in memory of Louis may be sent to the Craig Heritage Park and Museum c/o the District #69 Historical Society, 1245 East Island Highway, Parksville, BC V9P 2H4.
