Mom left us peacefully on the morning of May 19, 2009.
Mom is survived by son Wayne (Heather); daughter Barb (Ron); grandchildren: Amanda, Megan, Jackson and step grandchildren: Chandace, Brookelyn, Micheal, Lindsay and Danny.
She is remembered by her brother and sister-in-law John Laurence and Anne, Prince Albert; her sisters Barbara and Audrey of Calgary and Glenna of Kaslo.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Isobel and George McKenzie and brothers George (Donalda) and James Edward (Patricia).
Mom’s sense of humour endeared many, and her love of her children and grandchildren was never ending.
Thank you to Dr. Claire Biglow and all the staff at Qualicum Manor and most recently at Stanford Place for welcoming mom and making her feel at home. To all the staff at NRGH over the years, you did make a difference, and to Dr. John Carr, mom and I would have never got through this without your care and compassion for us both.
Mom, you will be always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
