EAKIN, Margaret
Passed away peacefully July 5, 2004
Margaret was born in Calgary in 1912, where she resided for many years, graduating in nursing from the Calgary General Hospital. In 1949 her family moved to Powell River as owners and operators of Foodland Grocery, then lived in Vancouver where she was predeceased by her husband John in 1962. The past 6-1/2 years she was a resident of Parksville. So dearly loved and will be sadly missed by daughter Gale Currie (Joe), son Michael and stepson Jack. Also survived by her devoted grandchildren Patrick, Drew, Dean (Rita), Brenda (Randy), Amanda, John (Barb), Sidney. She will be remembered by 8 great grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews and many caring friends. A tremendous thanks to all the staff at Trillium Lodge for the love and special care given to Margaret. A "Gathering of Remembrance" will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at 2395 Green Isle Place, Nanoose (across from Fairwinds Centre).
