WOODCOCK (Helgason) Margaret Sarah

Born August 24, 1900 in Swan River, Manitoba of Icelandic immigrants, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on July 12, 2004 in Qualicum Beach, BC

Predeceased by her husband William Woodcock, son Ken (Hazel), grandchild Becky Ann, great grandson Nathan. Granny is lovingly remembered by her children Jean (Tom Goodwin), Olly (Ed Alexander), Margaret (Stu Drinnan), Norman (Donna), 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Margaret loved her Lord Jesus from her childhood, leaving a legacy of Christian faith, prayer and tenacity for her family and many friends. She was a resident of Victoria for 52 years and a resident of Bethany Court for 23 years. She served in the Salvation Army, Women's Institute, and Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church. She recently moved to Qualicum to be closer to her family. She poured her life into her family and was an excellent seamstress and a renowned baker, avid gardener, artist, china-painter and rememberer of birthdays and anniversaries.

Graveside service 2pm Friday, July 16 through McCall Bros. At Hatley Memorial Gardens in Victoria. A Celebration of Mom and Granny's Life will be held at Christian Fellowship Centre, 825 Village Way, Qualicum Beach, BC on Saturday, July 17 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh so happy and so bright!
