MERX, Marjorie
February 15, 1909 – January 19, 2007
Merx; Marjorie Gladys May peacefully passed into the presence of her Lord on Friday, January 19, 2007 in Port Alberni with her family at her side at 97 years of age.
Predeceased by her husband Edward (1988), son Kenneth and three brothers Eric, Norman and Douglas Atkins.
She is survived by her two children Frank (Kathy) and Jeanette (Ken) Semko; grandchildren: Glen (Corrine) Merx, Tanya Merx and Todd Semko as well as sisters-in-law Mabel Atkins, Louise Stonehouse and many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was a member of the Klitsa Rebekah’s Lodge #59 for over 60 years and also a member of the Cedar Grove Reformed Church.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 29, 2007 from the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue with Rev. W. Hudson officiating. Cremation has taken place. Marjorie’s cremated remains will be laid to rest with her husband in Qualicum Cemetery at a later date.
