PATFIELD, Nisbet Pope
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nisbet Pope Patfield. Born August 3, 1928 in Motherwell, Scotland. He passed away suddenly, but peacefully in his 76th year at Nanaimo General Hospital on January 4, 2005. He is survived by his son Nisbet and daughter-in-law, Pat, grandchildren Lisa, Amanda and Tracy and great-grandchildren of Cochrane, Alberta; his daughter Lin and granddaughter Erin; his daughter Victoria and son-in-law, Gino, and granddaughter Jasmine. Nisbet was an electrical engineer and skilled contract estimator. He emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1972, living and working in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Langley, before finally moving to Parksville to enjoy his retirement years. He loved to fish but loved his fishing stories even more. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 12th, 2005 at 1pm at Parksville Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville. All welcome.
