SOMMERS, Nona Dorothy
1911 – 2006
Nona passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on September 20, 2006 in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Edward in 2000. Nona was loved and will be dearly missed by her daughters Natalie (Ralph) Goodall and Ellen Clancy; son Bob (Marilyn); sister Diane Campbell; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.Â
Nona lived in Errington since the early 60’s and was involved in many community activities. She loved all children, especially her grandchildren. The ultimate Nana, she would at the drop of an apron, run over to care for and love them.
A memorial service was held Monday, September 25, 2006, at the Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville, at 1:30 pm.
