Olive May Dunphy (Fairbairn) died peacefully in her sleep on May 10, 2008. Olive was born in Queen Charlotte City and was predeceased by the love of her life, her spouse Vernon Dunphy on June 17, 2002. Olive was a private, quiet, determined woman with strong principles and a passionate supporter of the New Democratic Party. She always appreciated the kindness of her friends and the wonderful care provided by the staff at Arrowsmith Lodge where she happily resided for the last two years of her life.
There will be a memorial gathering at Arrowsmith Lodge, 266 Molliet Street S. Parksville, BC on June 5, 2008 at 2 PM.
Flowers are gratefully declined, however, anyone wishing to honour Olive may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
