MORGAN, Owen Lloyd of Parksville, B.C., passed away on Sept. 7, 2004 at the age of 74, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed by his wife Sadie, children David, Dennis, and Janice, five grandchildren, and two brothers, Bryn and Gwyn. After growing up on a farm outside Prince Albert, SK, Owen joined Saskatchewan Government Airways in 1947, at age 17, and flew throughout northern Canada with them as an aircraft engineer until 1967. He then joined the aviation section of Amoco Petroleum in Calgary until retirement. He and Sadie moved to Parksville in 1998. Owen loved life, adventure, his family, airplanes, and, more recently, golf. He was quick with a smile and leaves behind many friends in many places. A Celebration of Owen's Life will take place Sunday, September 19, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at the Craig Bay Beach Club just south of Parksville.
