Pamela Barbara (nee Duck) Marriott

April 14, 2004

MARRIOTT, Pamela Barbara (nee Duck) Born August 27, 1927 passed away suddenly on April 14, 2004.

She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Marriott, her father and mother Rupert and Dorothy Duck and her brothers Brian and Peter Duck. Pam grew up ranching on Duck's Range in the interior of B.C. She trained as a registered nurse at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. Pam married Bill on April 8, 1949 and is survived by their six children, their spouses and many grand and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Penelope and her family.

As her children grew, Pam continued to work and was the evening supervisor at the Nanaimo General Hospital when she retired in 1990. Pam and Bill enjoyed great friends in all the places they lived including Kamloops, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Williams Lake and Parksville, until finally retiring in Oliver. Pam spent many years travelling with Bill and her children as well as golfing, curling and keeping herself busy with her crafts. We are sad, but Mom had a wonderful life. You will be forever missed and we will always love you. A luncheon celebrating Pam's life was held on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Hall, Cherry Grove Estates, Oliver, B.C. The family would like to thank the Penticton Hospital-ICU nurses and doctors. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Help Fill-A-Dream Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
