Patricia Kathleen 86yrs Qualicum Beach, BC. It is with great sadness we announce Pat’s unexpected passing on March 13, 2010. She was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Finn) Adkins of Chingford, UK.
She was predeceased by Raymond, her husband of 57 years, in 2003, and her younger brother John Adkins, UK in December 2009. She is survived by her brother Eric Adkins UK, son Malcolm Palmer (Roberta) Halifax, grandchildren: Kimberley (Leslie) Little Calgary and Colin Palmer Edmonton, and great grandchildren: Lindsey and George Little.
She immigrated to Canada with her husband and son in 1957 arriving first in Moose Jaw, SK. After many moves with the RCAF throughout Canada and France, she and her husband finally settled in Qualicum Beach in 1985. Until recently, she was an active member of the Lioness Club, Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion and lifetime member of the Senior’s Activity Centre.
A special note of thanks goes to the caring staff and residents of Qualicum Manor who made her last two years enjoyable and fulfilled.
A memorial service was held at the Yates Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
