Paul was born in South Wales, U.K. Married Ann Bartlett (Boag) on July 1, 1972.


Paul immigrated to Qualicum Beach on June 29, 1965, he attended Qualicum Beach High School but it wasn’t long before he was drawn to working in the logging industry for M&B in Port Alberni. Paul (aka: Nabob) started his career in logging at APD mill in Port Alberni then moved to Franklin Div. (China Creek and Sarita dry-land sorts) where he met many great friends and wore many “hats” - boat operator, scaler, band man, machine operator and truck driver. Paul retired in February 2009 after more than 40 years in the industry.


Paul’s many interests included golfing, woodworking, fishing, boating and riding his motorcycle. He was always happiest when he and Ann would load up the camper and be off camping with friends and family.


Paul was predeceased by his father Terry in 1995 and his mother Ruby in 2008. Paul is survived by his wife Ann, son Shaun, daughter Heather, brothers Gary (Sharron), Rod (Barbra), Larry and Tim as well as grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


A celebration of life will be held at the Bradley Centre on March 13, 2010 from 1pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Hospice Society.
